Gökhan TURHAN

He was born in 1969 in Istanbul. He graduated from Anadolu University, Faculty of Business Administration. He is the second generation manager of TURAŞ Group, which was established in 1984 with 100 percent equity capital, and has been the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company since 2017. He is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Turmach Makina, which was established in 2013 with the aim of becoming an integrator of semi- and fully automatic special purpose machines and robotic automation lines, and shortly afterwards started R&D activities and design process, focusing on the production of special purpose machinery and equipment.

TURHAN has been collecting kitchen utensils reflecting the diversity and aesthetics of the Ottoman period since 2006 in order to preserve our cultural heritage and pass it on to future generations. Since 2006, TURHAN has collected kitchen utensils reflecting the diversity and aesthetics of the Ottoman period and turned them into a collection consisting of more than 1200 registered inventories and more than 5000 works of art attached to the Ayasofya Mosque, and has the world's most comprehensive collection covering every region, period and form group of the Ottoman period. Now it has become a private museum within Turas Group named Turhan Museum.

Mr. TURHAN is also the President of ARMATÜR Association, Member of Supervisory Boards in Istanbul Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals Exporters' Association, serves many other NGOs, and writes weekly columns with the name of “İşin Sırı” on branding and success stories for Nasıl Bir Ekonomi Newspaper.
