MAKFED & KOSGEB “GREEN TRANSFORMATION COOPERATION PROTOCOL” WAS SIGNED.

The protocol, signed by KOSGEB Chairman Hasan Basri Kurt and MAKFED Chairman Adnan Dalgakıran, includes increasing the service provider capacity and developing the ecosystem in relation to survey/feasibility/analysis and consultancy services within the scope of the SME Energy Efficiency Support Program and green practices.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, KOSGEB President Hasan Basri Kurt said that the protocol was prepared primarily to increase the awareness of SMEs on energy efficiency and to support implementation projects. Kurt said, “The signed protocol will be an important step for Turkey to achieve its goals in energy efficiency and sustainability.”
MAKFED President Dalgakıran said, “About 42 percent of the total electricity consumption in Turkey is realized in the industrial sector. About 67% of the electrical energy consumed in the industry originates from electrical machines, hence the electric motor and systems consisting of them. Although Turkey is on par with the EU in electric motor legislation, businesses still continue to use largely energy-inefficient electric motors or machines. Starting from our key role in the green transformation of the sectors, we will work for a transformation movement in cooperation with our 32 member associations.”

Energy Efficiency in Rotary Equipment

Support will be provided for the study studies to be carried out in order to ensure more efficient energy use of the electric motor, which is mostly used in industrial enterprises and called rotary equipment, and systems such as pumps, fans (ventilation) and compressors, which constitute the majority of electricity consumption.

To Be Done By Experts

The current situation, efficiency determination and determination of the needs of the doner equipment of the enterprises will be done by the rotary equipment energy efficiency experts certified and authorized by MAKFED.

Rotary Equipment Support
As a result of the survey service, support will be provided for the expenses of the rotating equipment recommended by the rotary equipment energy efficiency specialist to be replaced/received in the enterprise.
Ecosystem to be Developed

In addition, in order to develop the ecosystem; Award-winning competitions by MAKFED and KOSGEB, participation in domestic fairs, social responsibility, etc. cooperation will be made.
